“Lassie Come-Home” is a novel by an English novelist and screenwriter Eric Knight (1897-1943) that brought him world­wide fame. The story tells about remarkably smart and beautiful collie dog loyal to her little master. She treks over many miles overcoming dangers and obstacles to come home, where the boy, who is waiting for her, believes in miracle and does not lose faith that his Lassie will still meet him at the school gates like she usu­ally did last four years. The novel became a bestseller and is in­cluded into the list of classic literature for children.
