Timon of Athens

The Life of Timon of Athens is a play by Wiiliam Shakespeare about a legendary misanthrope of Athens Timon. It is usually considered to be the most difficult and darkest work by Shakespeare.

The Life of Alcibiades by Plutarch and dialogue Timon the Misanthrope by Lucian Samosata are thought to be the sources of Timon.
