Battersea Dogs and Cats Home is the oldest animal charity in the world. Since 1860 it has cared for, and rehomed, over 3 million animals. Every year its experts deal with 10,600 dogs and cats, ensuring that each new owner is right for the dog. They educate the public in responsible pet ownership and have had numerous TV programmes document their work in rehoming and education. Gwen Bailey is the UK's foremost Pet Behaviourist. After working for Battersea as the Head of Animal Behaviour for 12 years, she realised that the route to fewer animals requiring rehoming lay in education. She subsequently formed the biggest dog training network in the UK - Puppy School. Gwen is also the author of 14 books on canine care including the most successful Puppy Behaviour book - Perfect Puppy - which has sold over 400,000 copies worldwide.
