Uncle Tom's Cabin

Uncle Tom's Cabin by Harriet Elizabeth Beecher Stowe, published in 1852, is directed against the slavery in America. It created a t social furor; according to some estimation it escalated one of the local conflicts against slavery so much that it caused the Civil War in the USA.

Uncle Tom is a slave. When his owner Mr. Slelby is only going to sell him together with a boy named Harry he informs Uncle, but Uncle, religious and conscientious man, doesn't agree…  And now he is put in chains and there is a way to the South, the kingdom of slave owners, ahead of him…
